The village Wissant is laying in the middle of the "Baie de Wissant" and was in the eye's of the German commanders one of the places to suspect an Allied landing. The beaches are suitable for landing operations and the hinterland was also interesting for deploying an invasion force into occupied France and Europe.
Therefore the German's made a heavy defence line on the coast, as well in the hinterland of the Bay of Wissant. Around the city of Wissant there are so many Widerstandsnester (Wn) and Stüzpunkten (Stp) that we decided to split them up, to make it easier to find the location you are looking for.
